Business and payment terms
Dear guest,
You have booked a stay in our Hotel Steffensberg and Gastehaus Anker. With the reservation of services of our house, an agency contract comes into being. We guarantee that we will provide all the services agreed with us correctly and on time, and we will do our best to make your stay in our house as pleasant as possible.
However, we also ask you to observe our general terms and conditions. They regulate the contractual relationship between guest and host and are recognized by you with your booking.
1.) Conclusion of a contract
With the order confirmation or short-term provision of the accommodation, a guest accommodation contract has come into being
Option reservations by groups or travel agencies are given in the lists of names or participants at the latest
Known in writing 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Additions, changes and verbal agreements require our express confirmation to be effective. The change of participants +/- 10% is possible free of charge up to 2 weeks before arrival.
2.) Arrival and departure
The rooms are available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Reserved rooms should be occupied by 6:00 p.m. If this is not the case, the hotel can dispose of the rooms, unless a later arrival has been expressly agreed. The room allocation can be done in Haus Steffensberg or Haus Anker, it is the responsibility of the hotel.
The rooms must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. Should the release take place after 11 a.m.
we have to charge another night. Our rooms are exclusively non-smoking. If the guest disregards the smoking ban, the hotel is entitled to charge a cleaning fee.
3.) Prices
The agreed services and prices result from the offers and the agreements in the reservation confirmation. VAT is already included. If there is an increase in VAT by agreement, we must continue to charge this increase.
We reserve the right if there are more than 6 months between the conclusion of the contract and the date of arrival
Make price changes without prior notice.
4.) Payment
Upon confirmation of the booking by us, an advance payment of 30% of the agreed price is due.
The reservation only becomes binding after the advance payment has been received. the balance is payable in cash on arrival. Credit cards are not accepted. Other means of payment only after prior notice and agreement.
5.) Services
With the conclusion of the guest accommodation contract, the parties undertake to fulfill the following mutual obligations from the contract for the entire duration of the contract.
a) The hotel is obliged to provide the respective accommodation in a usable condition and in accordance with the order.
b) The guest is obliged to pay the contractually owed fee for the time (duration) of booking the accommodation.
c) The guest is not released from paying the contractually owed fee by
is prevented from exercising the right of use to which he is entitled regardless of the reason for the agreement.
d) If the hindrance is due to a reason for which the hotel is responsible, the guest is released from paying the contractually owed fee.
6.) Resignation
The guest can withdraw from the trip at any time before the start of the trip, but this should be done in writing in the guest's own interest.
Depending on the date of receipt of the declaration of cancellation by the guest, the following flat rate cancellation rates are calculated, taking into account the usual savings and the usual possible income (in each case in% of the travel price)
for single travelers with the agreements overnight / breakfast. Arrangements with pension

up to the 31st day before arrival 20% 10%
up to the 21st day before arrival 30% 20%
up to the 11th day before arrival 50% 40%
afterwards or in the event of no-show 80% 70%
Group reservations (from 10 people) can be canceled free of charge up to 6 weeks prior to arrival, this applies mutually. In the case of shorter deadlines, the above rates are increased by 10% each.
Reorders up to 10% of the number of participants are possible up to 14 days before departure.
If it is possible for the Mosel Weinhotel Steffensberg to allocate the unused accommodation elsewhere, the guest is not obliged to pay for the part of the other income for this period.
7.) Liability
The contractual partner of the hotel or the guest, as such as the host, is fully liable to the hotelier for damage caused by you or your guests.
Any use of the leased rooms that deviates from the contract entitles the hotel to terminate the contract without notice. This does not reduce the claim to the agreed fee.
We are not liable for third-party services, not even for brokered hotels that are only brokered and are expressly marked as such in the travel description. The host reserves the right. To withdraw from the contract or parts of the contract if the provision of the service is impossible or only possible with difficulty due to force majeure or industrial action, without claims for damages being derived from this. The hotel is liable for the correctness of the service description in brochures and for the proper provision of the contractually agreed lines within the company.
8.) Final provisions
The correction of errors. We expressly reserve the right to make changes to printing and calculation, as well as program changes.
Oral agreements only become effective if they have been confirmed in writing by the hotel. For all disputes arising from this contractual relationship and its fulfillment, as well as legally permissible, the jurisdiction of the court at the place of operation is agreed. The ineffectiveness of individual provisions of the contract or these conditions does not affect the effectiveness of the remaining provisions of this agreement.
If a new price list appears, the old one loses its validity: as of November 2015
